Autonomous microreactor lablets together with lablet docking surface.
Lablet dimensions are typically < 100 µm to allow suspension in solution. In phase I lablets dock reversibly with the surface, while in phase II lablets build dimers (see top right) and later trimers (via domino lablets not shown). The black squares are electrodes, the smaller ones to direct the EOF drive of fluid (for programmed chemical exchange and for propulsion) and the larger ones for electrowetting or electronic sponge control of lablet dissociation. The white bars are channel indentations (1 µm deep). The central micro reactor (white cylinder) is envisaged to be ca. 30 µm deep.
